No estoy asustado.

Ja, Ja ...
Roland Garros ...
All England ....

INTERVIEW | Rafael Nadal "The injury that I have has retired to anyone " Chapter I, Rafael Nadal Parera (26 years old) has not competed since his loss to Lukas Rosol, on 28 June at Wimbledon. In national's scoop, Nadal talked to AS about the details of his injury and the recovery he is facing. The second last we know about Rafa Nadal is that outside of the tennis courts, competes in golf tournaments ... and also has become a good poker player. How good are you in poker...? In golf I have 3.9 handicap. Poker is a special game in which you have to be focused all the time. You enjoy and gives you a chance to think. It is great when you have free time off of the courts. Do you have also a personal coach in poker? Ha, ha ... I have a personal coach, but it cannot be like my uncle Toni in tennis, of course. What I try is also to have my own style, aggressive and with good mental control. In that yes, it resembles tennis and poker, the importance of the mental part. What is your current situation in the recovery process of the injury in your left knee and what are your eventual possibilities to reappear before the end of 2012? I'm working very hard, although I do not do it on the tennis court, with swimming sessions and rehabilitation in the gym and with my physiotherapist. I do weight training, cycling ... I want to recover myself to the point where I was before the injury: I was having a great tennis season. I swim a kilometer every day in the sea with wetsuit: it floats better. The knee is working well but my only priority is to reappear when the knee is 100%. The only reality about my options for reappearing before 2013 is ... I do not know it. Although we know that does not bring good to you memories , could you give detail the process of his injury and how it ends up doing you miss the Olympics and the U.S. Open? Did you injure against Rosol? How does this happen? It's not happens with Rosol ... or after of Rosol, because I did not come back to play. In the Masters 1000 Indian Wells in March, I have a partial tear of tendon in the left knee. It is a small tear. But after that tear is when I have to withdraw in the semifinals of Miami. Starts the clay court season and we are putting patches: infiltrations and treatments. I do not know if I had to have to stop there, but I can bear the pain very well and I start playing in what has been one of the best seasons of clay in my life. Until it came Roland Garros ... And .. As I say, I was playing unbelievable. One of the best Roland Garros of my career, I do not know if the best. And there really starts to hurt. I keep playing, of course, because it's Roland Garros and I have to treat me with anti-inflammatories to play semifinals and final, if I wanted to have opportunities to do so. I do not know what would have happened if it was not Roland Garros .... You go to the grass, to Halle, where you already, clearly, do not move at your best, you lost with Kohlschreiber ... and after comes Wimbledon. In Halle I already was bad, I was limited, but there I still hoped to recover for Wimbledon. Then, between Halle and Wimbledon, the workouts became dreadful: It's the pain in the left knee. Maybe I should have stopped there, because the workouts had already become so bad that I could barely train ... but it came Wimbledon. There I go and I play with infiltrations from the first round, otherwise, it would have been impossible. Perhaps I would have had to stop after Roland Garros. Surely, I would have done so in other circumstances, but the tournament it was coming was Wimbledon and I always want to play there: it is Wimbledon. And here we go: you win to Bellucci and in second round, Rosol comes, the last day until today, when Rafael Nadal has stepped on a court in high competition: It's the June 28, 2012 in the Centre Court of the All England .... There comes a moment in which your knees tell you that you to stop, and it is when the pain limits you. As I say, I have always beared the pain, but there comes that moment, that day of Rosol, where you start to think about how you have to put your leg when you start running and you go for the ball. After Indian Wells I had held with infiltrations and everything else. After Roland Garros, basically I already could not have kept playing. But to get to that point of pain that I have described, then ... then it it is impossible to compete. (When Rafael Nadal remembers these sequences, in his face appears a grimace that mixes pain, disappointment and bitterness and that is so hard to describe ... so as to see it at any other time). Nevertheless, Rafa, you still makes an attempt almost to the desperate to reach the Olympic games of London: you was the flag bearer of Spain. To miss the Olympics was very hard and very sad. It was a tough decision and it was made more complicated by the fact of being the flag bearer. The loss of ranking does not affect me: you can recover. If you miss a Grand Slam tournament, you know there will be more opportunities coming. The four majors are each year. But the Olympics are once every four years. You do not know what will happen in four years. I do not like to miss this opportunity. But I have enough motivation to keep trying: This injury has retired anyone. I won at Roland Garros. I'm not scared. Forget the ills. How have you seen from outside this latest section of the season? Let's talk about the Davis Cup, and about Spain's team, already in the final against the Czech Republic, the outbreak of Andy Murray ... What can I say about Davis Cup? I'm happy for the team. All are great friends and they have made a great effort. Especially, I am happy for David Ferrer, who is having a fantastic season. It also makes me happy that Andy Murray has won her first Grand Slam tournament. I do not think it is because of Ivan Lendl. Andy had already played four finals in the last three or four years and he deserved it. When you're in the finals is already you are winning to the best: you are there. I do not know how it will change this victory in New York, plus the Olympics. Normally, when you comes to this point, it is easier to repeat. Will we see Nadal in Davis Cup, in the Czech Republic, in November? There, in 2004, in Brno, a boy of 17 years old began to forge a myth: it was Rafael Nadal. They were my first great emotions. It was unforgettable. It is curious: the Czechs have almost the same team, with Berdych and Stepanek. Is missing Jiri Novak, who beat me then. But we will put us a court as fast or more than Brno, which was even not homologated. In Davis Cup you have to consider what is best for the team. Has to play the best for the team in each time. It's as if Messi does not play all year and comes the final of the Champions and if he is okay. What are you doing? I wanted to play this year and I could not. I do not see how from now and less than two months I can be the best for the team. Now, the best lesson is the diary. example
