Rafael Nadal needed only two sets to defeat fellow Spanish Nicolas Almagro and reach the quarterfinals of the Rio Open.

“I played a near-perfect first set and made almost no mistakes. On the second one I was a little bit nervous, especially when I was serving, so it took me a little bit more time to close it”, said Nadal. 
“The most important thing is that I won, I´m playing well and feeling much better than I was last week. I´m physically stronger.”

His opponent on the quarterfinals will be Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov:
“It´s going to be another difficult match. He beat me on the last two matches and it´s a player that makes you change the way you play and gives you few opportunities. He is a solid player, so you need to take advantage of his mistakes.” (via Rio Open)

On how he's prepared the season: Trained very hard&well. Started 2016 playing well but had tough loss in AUS. Now he's here to try his best.

Once again he tells them he lives his reality, while media live theirs. He's happy w/his lifelong team and w/whom he's been very successful.
