Rafael Nadal opened his training camp after fan-signings on Brad Court yesterday. It was Nadal’s first time running a public training event at the China Open,in fact the occasion marked the first time the Spaniard has run something like this in China.
Before Nadal arrived, fans arrived at Brad Court early, including many from his hometown. When he came out, the atmosphere was explosive.
The 100 children to be trained by Nadal rushed excitedly out on court to meet the master. As their teacher, Nadal modified the session to meet individual levels and it did not take long for the keen young players to understand and work well with Nadal.
The children said they were very proud to be Nadal's students.
Tennis is just a sport, but to Nadal it means everything. His staff said they were opening more Nadal tennis schools with the aim of making young players’ dreams come true. Nadal also said tennis schools will also be a priority of his moving forward.
