As of today, the Director has received a letter from the tennis player Rafael Nadal when he announced that because of opinions published in the press about his nomination for honorary doctorate, which generated a state of controversy and media debate understands that it may harm the university waives the proposed nomination, while he appreciates have thought for this distinction.
The Board of Directors continues to believe that a person is deserving of this honor and at the same time, honor the UIB.

Рафа Надаль отказался от Номинация на звание почетного доктора UIB.
В настоящее время директор получил письмо от теннисиста Рафаэля Надаля, в котором он объявил, что из-за мнений, опубликованных в прессе о его выдвижении на звание почетного доктора, которые вызвали противоречия и дискуссию в СМИ, он отказывается от предложенной кандидатуры, т.к. понимает, что это может нанести вред университету.
Совет директоров по-прежнему считает, что такой человек заслуживает такой чести, и в то же время, это было бы честью для UIB.
