Before traveling to Rome, Rafa Nadal had a very special appointment in Madrid, where he was able to meet "in secret" the new Kia EV6. The first thing that caught his attention was the exterior design: Rafa took several turns around the car looking closely at its avant-garde shapes. The Kia EV6 is the first specifically electric vehicle launched under Kia's new design philosophy: "United opposites". At the heart of this philosophy is a new visual identity that evokes positive forces and natural energy, with contrasting combinations of sharp stylistic elements and sculptural forms.
Rafa also asked about the dimensions of the new model, a car with a large wheelbase, proportions between volumes and an average height, halfway between those of an SUV, a sports car and a crossover.
When he got behind the wheel, the expression of surprise and fascination on Rafa Nadal's face increased even more. Unfortunately, Rafa could not drive the new EV6, but he was interested in the performance of the new model. First of all, he asked about its autonomy, of more than 510 kilometers on a single charge; and how it is recharged, with a charge of 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes and of 100 km in less than 4.5 minutes, in a fast charger. The Spanish tennis player was surprised with these data, almost as much as with the performance of the EV6 GT, which is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 s and reaching a maximum speed of 260 km/h.
At the end of the meeting, Rafa asked for the date of arrival in Spain of the new model, because “I loved it and I want one”, in his own words.
