Rafael Nadal underwent the first foot treatment in Barcelona
Rafa Nadal is already in Manacor. The Roland Garros champion arrived home after passing through Barcelona on Tuesday, where he underwent pulsed radio frequency treatment at the Teknon clinic to improve his left foot problems.
The player was visited by his personal doctor, Dr. Ángel Ruiz-Cotorro, who performed a "pulsed radio frequency treatment on the different nerves involved in the area of the injury he is suffering from. These are sensitive nerves that deal with pain in the affected area and give sensitivity to it. With this treatment the nerve is temporarily numb".
According to the medical report, Nadal's roadmap is now to spend 3 or 4 days with normal maintenance physical activity, a period after which he would resume training on the court, provided that the response of the foot is positive. "We do not rule out that a second treatment could be carried out depending on the evolution in the next week," the statement added.
All this with the aim of being able to be at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season that will start in London on June 27.
